BMW ends in lamppost on Brentford High Street

Brentford High Street is closed by the Jet Garage due to a violent end to a car chase.

According to witnesses a white BMW with at least one passenger was being chased by an unmarked police car from Hounslow towards Kew Bridge when it mounted the pavement just past the JET garage just before 1pm. The BMW crashed into one of the empty shops causing a lamp post to break free and jump into the air before crashing down.

The driver ran off into Watermans Park where he was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, dangerous driving and taking and driving away (TDA).

Two male passengers have been taken to a west London hospital. They have been arrested on suspicion of allowing to be carried and TDA.

BMW crashed outside Kew House, just east of the jet garage

The air ambulance was not needed but ambulances were on the scene.
