Pedestrian Killed After Being Hit By Car By Gillette Corner

An 88-year-old man has died in hospital the day after he was hit by a car while walking near Gillette Corner.

The collision occurred shortly before 10.30pm on Sunday 26 June. The emergency services attended the scene, including a helicopter from the London’s Air Ambulance service, and the man was taken to a central London hospital with life-threatening injuries. He died the following day, Monday 27 June.

His next of kin have been informed.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries although no arrest has been made.

Detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are leading the investigation and are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the collision, or captured the events on CCTV, or dash cam to come forward.
