London Road in Brentford had to be closed on Thursday (16 November) after a pedestrian was hit by a van.

The police say that the collision took place near the junction with Brent Lea area at around 3.40pm.

Over eight emergency services vehicles were observed at the scene with the road shut between Augustus Close and Brent Lea.

The victim was a man in his sixties. He was taken to hospital by ambulance but there is no update on his condition.

The driver of the van was not arrested.

The closure of the road meant that bus routes 235, 237, 267 and E8 were diverted. The road has now fully reopened and the services have reverted to their normal routes.
