Compulsory Purchase Progresses for Ballymore

Next stage in the lengthy procedure

Ballymore owns about 95% of the land it intends to build on for the development south of the high street.

Next Friday, Cllr Steve Curran will make the Single Member Decision whether to approve in principle to use its Compulsory Purchase powers for the acquisition of all the land necessary.

A recommendation was approved by Hounslow Cabinet last Decenber that CPO powers would be used giving Geronimo (Ballymore's subsidiary) up to the end of this March to negotiate directly with owners.

Hounslow Council has entered into a deal to sell its land at County Parade to Geronimo and to acquire the site of Block D at County Parade where the affordable housing will be.

Wednesday's decision will list in detail the lands that Geronimo seek to acquire and make a final recommendation to the Borough Council on 13th September to authorise the use of compulsory purchase powers.

Proposed Land order

The land to be included consists of

(a) the land for which planning permission was granted

(b) 98-99 High Street, Brentford; and

(c) land in the immediate vicinity which is required in order to implement, construct or operate the redevelopment.
