Brentford Football Club Appeals For Help - Update

Snow Shovellers required on Monday morning

In the light of the two recent postponements for The Bees, namely the FA Cup Third Round tie at home to Doncaster Rovers last Saturday , and the away match tomorrow at Brighton, Brentford Football Club are very keen to do everything possible to try and ensure that next Tuesday`s rescheduled match against Doncaster goes ahead.

Whilst more snow is expected over the weekend, the forecast for the start of next week is far more hopeful and gives us reason to be optimistic about the prospects for Tuesday`s match.

However the club needs your help.

A pitch inspection has been arranged for Monday at 11.30am and will be undertaken by the match referee. However to give the Club the best chance of getting the game on we are appealing for about twenty volunteers to help us clear the pitch of snow on Monday morning, starting at 9am.

If the volunteers could come armed with snow shovels that would be a bonus, or indeed if there are any Bees fans out there who could loan the Club some snow shovels for this operation, it would be very much appreciated.

Hot refreshments will be available for the volunteers.

Those who may be able to assist either as volunteers or in a position to loan the Club some snow shovels, are asked to contact Tony Ashley by calling 0845 3456 442 or email Tony on tashley@brentfordfc.co.uk

Due to the extreme weather forecast and general conditions around Griffin Park, it has been decided to abandon this attempt.
