Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was shot in a crowded park in Isleworth.
The 21-year-old victim was shot in the arm at some point between 3.30pm and 4.30pm on Friday 29 June in Thornbury Playing Fields close to London Road.
He managed to get himself to hospital where he was treated for his injury before being discharged.
Detectives from the Trident and Area Crime Command have launched an investigation. They would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the shooting, especially if they were by the basketball courts, skate park or children's play area.
They would also like to speak with anyone who saw a group of males congregating under the trees on the west side of the park.
The offence occurred on a hot day and the area would have been filled with a large number of people.
Last month, two arrests were made in the park in connection with the supply of Class A drugs after several wraps of cocaine were seized. This was part of an operation to target drug runners who were believed to be using push bikes to sell drugs. The operation was launched in response to concerns raised by local residents about drug dealing in the park.
Anyone with information is asked to contact officers via 101 quoting reference 5699/29Jun or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
