A new planning application has been submitted to expand the former Isleworth Bowls Club now known as the Park Inn.
The proposal (P/2026/2054), by White Rock Development Ltd, seeks permission for a substantial single-storey extension to the clubhouse at Redlees Park, alongside a mini-golf course, a food kiosk, an entrance gate and new metal fencing to match the existing boundary. Plans show that one internal wall would be removed to merge the current clubhouse with the new structure, effectively doubling the building’s footprint. White Rock Development Ltd is a company with a single director, Amarveer Singh Dhatt, who lives in Hounslow.
The development would result in the loss of 225 square metres of designated open space currently classified as outdoor sports facilities. The applicant argues that the extension is designed with flexibility in mind, noting that bi-fold doors would allow the covered area to remain fully open when required. However, the plans show the proposal would take over much of the remaining open space around the club, raising concerns about the long-term balance between bowls, mini-golf and other recreational uses.

The club’s planning statement describes the extension as a modest and beneficial enhancement intended to improve accessibility, comfort and sustainability. It emphasises that the works have been designed to minimise impact on neighbouring properties and maintain the recreational character of the site.
Earlier this year, residents at the Isleworth, Osterley & Spring Grove Area Forum raised concerns about a £200,000 Thriving Communities Fund grant awarded by Hounslow Council for the creation of a crazy golf course at Redlees Park. The project has not materialised, and councillors confirmed that officers were investigating how the grant was used although the outcome of an investigation has not been disclosed.

The club, which has operated at Redlees Park since 1934, holds a Club Premises Certificate allowing it to serve alcohol to members and guests. In recent years, its activities have increasingly centred on social events, with regular functions held on site particularly since rebranding as the Park Inn. The current licensee is Jacqueline Nesbitt who used to run the Six Bells pub.
The new planning application does not clarify whether the proposed mini-golf course is connected to the earlier grant, nor whether any of the £200,000 has been used in the current development plan. The mix of sports uses remains unclear in the supplied documentation and we have asked the Park Inn to clarify what the offering will be if this plan proceeds.
