Picture: The Vantage Building

Plans have been made for a new indoor golf studio which will be situated within an office building next the Chiswick Flyover in Brentford.
The Golf Rooms on the ground floor of the Vantage Building would have seven bays with simulators for people to play golf with large screens showing computer simulations of their shots.
The centre would also have an indoor putting green, a lounge, a darts simulator and it is seeking a licence to serve alcohol late.
The application states that the normal operating hours of The Golf Rooms would be 8am and 8pm and that the facility would be primarily for members, friends and guests of Wyke Green Golf Club.
It is claimed that the state-of-the-art technology that would be used in the centre would aid members in improving their game while the facility would have a convivial atmosphere.
In addition to running it as a club from members, it is also proposed, outside normal club hours, to offer hospitality packages for ‘exclusive’ corporate events which would be run by an ‘experienced and dedicated management team’.
The application states, “While corporate guests will be able to relax and enjoy an exciting golfing experience, this unique selling point will support the growth of the business, the promotion of the club, and be focussed on attracting new members.”
For this reason, the application includes a bid to serve alcohol until after midnight each day. The application will be considered in due course by the borough Licensing Panel. If you want to make a comment on it, you can email licensing@hounslow.gov.uk.
