One of the group approached the victim and accused him of assaulting one of his friends on a previous occasion. He head butted the victim causing him to stumble backwards and then stabbed him in his chest area. The attacked youth and the rest of the group he was with in the caged area ran away as did the group of black youths. The caged area on Clayponds Gardens is popular amongst local teenagers where they meet and play football. This appears to be a targeted assualt as opposed to a random knife attack.
