Mother and children successfully avoided being mugged

On Friday 5th March 2010 at 12pm, a 27 year female victim and her two young children were walking along the alleyway between Alexandra Gardens and Dukes Meadows when she was approached by one white male and one black male suspect.  First suspect showed her a knife and the second showed her what is believed to be a pistol before demanding the victim's money and mobile telephone. Victim ran off with her children and nothing was stolen.

The first suspect was a white male, about 23 years old, 5'06" to 5'07" tall, short dark hair, slim build. He was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms with a black jacket with a reflective material stripe.

The second was black male, 19 - 20 years of age, 5'08" tall, medium build, dark braided hair, print dark dirty green coloured jacket and blue bottoms.
