Isleworth Road Death Victim Named


Blue Citroen Saxo in collision with lorry

Police have now named the man who died following a vehicle collision on the Great West Road, Isleworth.

Police were called at approx 0915hrs on Tuesday, 18 January, to reports of a car, a blue Citroen Saxo, in collision with a lorry on the A4 Great West Road, near the junction with Syon Lane, Isleworth.

The front seat passenger in the Citroen, Rukesh Bissendary, 29 of La Grace Avenue, Hounslow, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family said
"Rukesh was a kind and loving young man whose heart was always in the right place. He will be missed by his wife, daughter, mother, father, brothers, sister, family and friends. Rest in peace Ruks, we love you."

A post mortem at Fulham mortuary gave the cause of death as severe chest injuries.

An inquest was opened and adjourned at West London Coroner's court on Friday 21 January.

The driver of the Citroen was taken to a central London hospital with serious injuries; he remains in hospital.

The back seat passenger in the Citroen was taken to a central London hospital, he has since been discharged.

The driver of the lorry, a 63-year-old man, was arrested at the scene. He has since been released on police bail to a date in April pending further enquiries.

The incident is being investigated by officers from the Metropolitan Police Service, Road Death Investigation Unit.

DS Chris Osborne said:

"The collision happened as the Citroen was travelling eastbound into London. It happened at a very busy time, with lots of commuters travelling in and out of London. We are asking anyone who saw the collision or the events leading to the collision to contact us."
