Youths Sentenced For Knife Attack

CCTV Assists Conviction

Five youths who cannot be named were sentenced in January at Isleworth Crown Court for their parts in an assault on a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy last May.

The victims had been out for a meal in the Ealing Road on Sunday 30 May, as they left the restaurant just before midnight, they met with the defendants, all members of a local gang, and words were exchanged between the two groups. The defendants then attacked the victims with at least one knife being used.

The 15-year-old victim suffered stab wounds to his arm, leg and chest and the 16-year-old victim suffered a stab wound to his chest. Both victims were taken to hospital, where they were treated for serious injuries.

Officers were quickly on scene and the area cordoned off and key witnesses identified. CCTV from the area was seized by the investigating officers which provided overwhelming evidence against the defendants and showed the extreme violence that was used against the victims.

Both of the victims have since recovered from their injuries.
