Crime in Brentford during November


Brentford and Syon Ward Reports

Brentford Ward:

Priority 1 - Drugs
• Two drug search warrants have been executed at addresses identified as being involved in the supply of class A drugs on the Ward. This resulted in an arrest for possession of cocaine and another for possession of heroin.
• Two arrests made for cultivating cannabis following the execution of separate drug search warrants at cannabis factories in residential properties.
• Two further warrants have been executed at addresses off Ward which are believed to be impacting on drug activity in Brentford.

Priority 2 - Burglary
• Community Payback Scheme used to clear overgrown front gardens of property where vulnerable victim has been repeat victim of artifice burglary.
• Locks and door security fitted to vulnerable burglary victims.
• Four arrests due to priority enforcement of Serco Tag breaches by burglars.

Priority 3 - Theft Of Pedal Cycles.
• Three search warrants executed at the home addresses of local bike thief suspects.
• Positive efforts to capture CCTV images of cycle thefts and circulate suspect descriptions.
• Consultation with local housing providers with regard to improved security around resident’s cycles.

Any Other News -
Detailed work to enhance CCTV images resulting in arrest
and imprisonment of prolific car thief. In the meantime he has served his sentence and been released and re-offended.

Syon Ward

Priority 1: Burglary
• All burglary victims provided with crime prevention advice and burglary packs.
• Two arrests due to priority enforcement of Serco Tag breaches by burglars.

Priority 2: Youth ASB
• Directed patrols conducted in priority areas.
• Close liaison with Neighbourhood Wardens Caretakers.

Priority 3: Theft from motor vehicle
• Priority patrols conducted conducted in vulnerable areas.
• Priority viewing of CCTV in vulnerable areas.
• Leaflet drops conducted in vulnerable areas
• Warning signs displayed in vulnerable areas.
• Joint operation with Brentford Ward resulting in the arrest and
imprisonment of a prolific car thief.

Priority 4: Drug dealing/using
• Four joint operations conducted with Brentford Ward resulting in four
arrests for drug related offences.
• Two warrants executed at addresses off ward which are believed to be
impacting on drug activity in Syon and Brentford.

Any Other News
Suspect arrested for a knifepoint robbery and blackmail following CCTV
enquiries.
