Imitation Firearm Aimed at Police Officer
Brentford SNT (Safer Neighbourhood Team) executed a drugs warrant in Lanadron Drive, Isleworth, several weeks ago. A small amount of cannabis was found within the address and the man was arrested for possession of cannabis.
The police continued to receive further information that the same man was dealing drugs, so obtained a second warrant. As police raided his house and entered his bedroom, he suddenly produced a small firearm and pointed it directly at a police officer. The police officer disarmed the man and he was arrested under Section 16A Firearms Act.
The firearm was later examined and found to be an imitation firearm. Further cannabis was found during the search and the male was later charged with both offences.
