Brentford FC sack their manager after appalling results
Brentford have parted company with Terry Butcher by mutual consent.
This takes place with immediate effect and Andy Scott will take temporary charge of the team for this Saturday`s game at Wrexham.
Brentford's recent form has been poor and they have not scored a league goal in nearly nine hours causing them to plummet to just four places above the relegation zone. The possible loss of league status represents an alarming decline for a club who just a few years ago were challenging for a place in the Championship and were proving worthy opposition to top sides in the F.A. Cup.
Brentford have now had three managers in 18 months with Leroy Rosenoir and Scott Fitzgerald having also been sacked for poor results.
The news comes just a few days after Brentford achieved their objective of acquiring an option to buy a plot of land by Lionel Road where they plan to build a 20,000 seat stadium to replace Griffin Park.
