Age Concern Hounslow has been successful in obtaining £1,000 funding towards the Big Chair Dance 2010.

Big DanceThe Big Chair Dance is an innovative and creative way to keep fit, exercise and develop skills; especially important for those with limited mobility or a disability. The Chair Dance will be performed at the Age Concern Hounslow’s Entertainment Day on Wednesday 16th June at the Paul Robeson Theatre and at the Big Chair Dance Event at 2pm on Thursday 8th July at Age Concern Hounslow.

The diversity of the group - including people from all community backgrounds - showcases the talents and customs of people from all over the world. Participants find ways of expressing their emotions and life experience through the medium of dance. This Chair dance will make a lasting difference, not only to all those involved, but to all those for whom it is performed. The dancers encourage the audiences to participate in the dance and learn the routine often encouraging people to join in and participate in the dance when it is often presented as a road show at various venues.
