Hounslow Students Perform for the Mulberry Centre
On this coming Friday 1st July, Hounslow’s Civic Centre will come alive with the sound of music.
The Mayor of Hounslow Cllr Amrit Mann is hosting the first ever Charity Concert in the Lampton Park Conference Centre to help raise funds for the Mulberry Centre, a local charity that helps people affected by cancer.
Pupils from the borough’s Music Service, bands and choirs will perform a variety of music to suit every taste, include such show stoppers as Cry me a River and The Sound of Music.
The Mayor of Hounslow, Councillor Amrit Mann, said: “I am delighted to be inaugurating The Mayor’s Charity Concert in Hounslow.
“I am proud to help raise money for such a worthwhile charity as the Mulberry Centre. Everyone’s life has been affected by cancer in some way, and so it is right that our community should work together in this way to support the fantastic work they are doing.
“I am also delighted to see our young people giving their time and talent freely to run this event, and I look forward to future collaborations”
The evening, starting at 7.30pm is also marks the Mulberry Centre’s 10th birthday, so there will be refreshments and raffle prizes. Tickets cost £7 (£5 concessions), and will be available on the door, or through the Music Service on 020 8583 2967.
The Mulberry Centre is based at West Middlesex University Hospital and is a registered charity (Registered Charity No: 1108999).
