Notice of the forthcoming area forum meeting
October 8, 2025
Hounslow South, Isleworth and Osterley & Spring Grove Area Forum will convene on Tuesday 14 October at 7:30pm at West Thames College, bringing together councillors, council officers, and residents to discuss key local issues ranging from policing and highways to waste enforcement and community initiatives.
The meeting will be preceded by an informal networking event from 6:30pm to 7:30pm, featuring marketplace-style stalls where residents can speak directly with council officers, meet their ward councillors, and learn about local community groups. Light refreshments will be available, and while registration is not required, attendees are encouraged to reserve a place due to limited capacity.
The formal agenda includes updates from Hounslow Highways, presented by Tim Hurley, covering roadworks, pothole repairs, and surface conditions across the three wards. The session will also clarify what the local authority can and cannot do regarding road maintenance and offer guidance on how residents can raise concerns effectively.
Hurley will also lead a session on waste management and enforcement, including recent actions taken against fly-tipping and commercial waste violations. The use of CCTV monitoring and engagement with local businesses to reduce illegal dumping will be discussed.
Farzana Wangde from the Safer Community team will provide a policing update, including recent incidents in Osterley and Spring Grove and a reported assault in Hounslow South. The session will address urgent safety concerns and allow residents to ask questions directly.
Residents are invited to submit questions or concerns for the Open Forum, which will be held later in the meeting. While individual cases cannot be discussed publicly, written submissions received in advance will be prioritised. Questions should be sent to jane.medici@hounslow.gov.uk at least one working day before the meeting.
The forum will also feature ward-specific updates, highlighting recent successes and inviting ideas for new community projects. Councillors will share good news stories and outline action plans tailored to each area.
Residents are encouraged to attend and participate in shaping local priorities. The full agenda and reports pack are available on the Hounslow Council website.
The next meeting has been scheduled for 2 February 2026.
Area Forums have become an important part of the way that Hounslow Council tries to engage with residents. The forums are held across the borough, split up by electoral ward.
There is no registration for these events – just come along on the evening.
