"Real to Reel" exhibition showcases filming at Osterley Park
Osterley Park and House has appeared on the silver screen since the 1950s, with classic film stars including Diana Dors and Cary Grant treading its boards.
More recently this Neo-Classical house has shared the lime light with the likes of Renee Zellweger and Keira Knightley.
This summer Osterley will be starring as Wayne Manor in The Dark Knight Rises, the final instalment of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy.
To celebrate the release of The Dark Knight Rises, Osterley will be hosting a brand new exhibition called ‘Real to Reel’.
Opening on Saturday 21 July the interactive exhibition will invite visitors ‘behind the scenes’ and ‘on set’ to discover Osterley’s long and illustrious history of being the setting for film and TV productions.
Starting with An Alligator Named Daisy, a 1955 British comedy starring Diana Dors, and ending with the opportunity to visit the secret passage from The Dark Knight Rises, the exhibition will feature pictures and props from the numerous productions, as well as looking at the challenges these present to conservationists. Learn how the team at Osterley protects the property during filming and be able to try out the some of the equipment used for themselves on the exhibition's 'film set.’

Any film location fees earned at National Trust places go in their entirety to maintain that specific site, to care for it in the future. Funds gained from The Dark Knight Rises will go directly towards a project to redisplay one of Osterley’s show rooms
