Christmas services in the run up to the 25th
If you and your family are looking for traditional Christmas services, from rousing carols to the lighting of the advent candles, then the services at St. Faith's in the run up to Christmas day could be just for you. A traditional and pretty church, dressed for Christmas in its foliage finery, offering welcoming and friendly services.
From toddlers to twenty-somethings, young parents to pensioners, there is a real cross section of the local community in the congregation. All are welcome, whether you just want to drop in around Christmas or more regularly throughout the year.
Head of Sunday School, Saffron Ryan says "come and see our young Sunday school children telling the oldest story of all in our traditional Nativity. The Christmas Star which was made by children and parents attending our Christmas Fayre, will be paraded during the Nativity and displayed in the Church over the Christmas period"
Reverend Derath Durkin is an welcoming and friendly vicar, and her Church is open to all. So do come and join her at any of the following Christmas services:
Sunday 6th December - 10am
The 2nd Sunday of Advent and Saffron Ryan, Head of Sunday School has 3-10 year olds putting on a traditional nativity play. The oldest story of all is told by the youngest members of the congregation.
Sunday 20th December - 6.30pm
Carols by Candlelight followed by mince pies and seasonal drinks
Christmas Eve, Thursday 24th December
4.00pm - "Away in a Manger", a service to bring children too of all ages
11.30pm - Midnight Communion
Christmas Day, Friday 25th December - 10.00am
Family Christmas Celebration service
