Brentford based amateur dramatics group, the St. Faith’s Players, has confirmed details of its next production.

From 9 – 11 May in St Faith's Church, Windmill Road (TW8 9NA) it will be staging an adaptation of the classic Ealing Comedy The Titfield Thunderbolt. There will be three performances at 7.30pm with doors and bar open at 6.45pm.

The play centres around the community of Titfield who pull together to run their branch line after threats of closure, and fight off the competition of a rival bus company. Staged imaginatively inside the church, the players aim are aiming to recreate a train station of the early 1950s and may even have their very own train!

Tickets can be bought online for £12.

St Faith’s Players started performing in St Faith’s Church Hall in 1977 with a concert to celebrate the Queen’s Silver Jubilee. Since then hundreds of people have taken to the boards, built sets, painted scenery and sewn costumes to keep the shows coming, with an annual pantomime a hightlight.

It aims to put on at least two productions each year, ranging from drama to comedy, thriller to Music Hall – all interspersed with a variety of social activities and fund raising events.
