Dance Performances followed by screening of Grease

The Big Dance Bus continues its travels through West London and will be next seen in Lampton Park Hounslow on July 7 at the Big Dance Opening Night event from 7pm till late. This is a showpiece big dance event and the evening will be introduced by Jacqueline Rose, Director of Big Dance.

The evening features performances from The Cone Dancers, a 21st century Maypole dancing duo, that fly eight meters in the air as they present a unique acrobatic performance to an original score and with computer driven-lighting effects.  The performance is produced by The Dream Engine, a company that makes amazing aerial shows.

There will be live music and dance from the London School of Samba to get you in the carnival spirit and the highlight will be a screening of GREASE in our pop-up outdoor cinema, starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton John.

Theatre Workout will be leading dance workshops to help you with the dance moves as a warm up before the film.  The company specializes in creating bespoke workshops and is working in partnership with Big Dance 2012 to bring the joy of dance to audiences of all ages and experiences.  They will be providing professional performers who will help with the special dance moves so you can jive along to ‘Sandy’ and ‘Danny’ as they entertain spectators in this enjoyable musical with catchy songs.

Entry for the film is by FREE ticket available in advance from www.watermans.org.uk or at the door on the day.

MC for the evening will be Jay Kumar, London’s top Bollywood dance entertainer and his company will be on hand to perform popular Bollywood dance routines.
