Light Up Brentford For Christmas at Watermans

Come and see the results of your fundraising

Switching on the lights in Brentford is a sure sign that Christmas has arrived. The brilliant fundraising efforts of Julia Quilliam and her colleagues on the Brentford Steering Group have ensured that once again Brentford will be lit up this Christmas. Please come to Watermans Terrace on Friday 27th November for the celebration.

The lights which will be even more sparkly than ever, will be switched on by a young resident. And then there will be entertainment from Albert and Friends Circus so it is going to be fun for everyone.

There will be food and drink and everyone is welcome. The entertainment starts at 6pm so get here in good time as it's bound to be popular

Brentford's four primary schools (Our Lady and St John's, Lionel, St Paul's, Green Dragon) are all offering pictures and poems for the event from among whom someone will be selected to turn the lights on.

Claire Collison and Liz Gers from the Extended Services team will be running a workshop with children and young people and perhaps the odd parent (!) in making Christmas cards and tree decorations.  Children and young people can take the decorations home and some may even be displayed in a shop window in Brentford.  They look forward to seeing you there- and will be the ones covered in glitter, glue and pieces of paper in all manner of colours.
