Summer Bandstand Concerts Continue in Watermans Park

The series of summer bandstand concerts organised by The Friends of Watermans Park continues this Saturday (8 July).
At 4pm, Gareth Haze, a singer songwriter originally from Cape Townwill be performing original material in the folk, rock, pop and blues styles as well as acoustic versions of classic tracks. As a drummer and backing vocalist he has shared the stage with touring acts such as Bon Jovi and is now stepping out from behind the kit to centre stage
Steve Brewin, whose musical career was born in the murky swamps of punk rock before he realised in his heart of heart there was the blues, will be combining the raw blues with his punk attitude to give the audience an experience they certainly won’t forget.
Then Rob Marshall will be on. He is an award winning musician composer turned film producer and director or from an unshaven busker (as reported in the Guardian) to the director of Walt Disney's Mary Poppins Returns.
There’ll be more music on each Saturday afternoon in July from 4pm.

The Friends of Watermans Park's main aim is to help protect, conserve and enhance Watermans Park, its environs and access to the River Thames for the enjoyment of residents and visitors.
It was formed by a group of local people who envisage a vibrant community amenity which can host community events as well as an attractive recreational area for all.
