Love it or hate it, make sure you have your say
Hounslow Council's Development and Parking Team have issued a consultation to all residents for them to comment on parking in their area and to indicate whether they would like to be included in a Controlled Parking Zone or CPZ.
The consultation closed on 23 October 2009 so please make sure comments are returned by that date. The proposed area is bounded by the High Street to the South, Ealing Road to the East, Hamilton Road and New Road to the North, and Half Acre and Windmill Road to the West. All residents within that area should have received a consultation through the front door.
Residents are also being asked to consider whether any CPZ should be for a brief 2 hour scheme, a full day or even extended to cover match days at Brentford Football Club.
A CPZ will only be introduced where there is majority support so it is important for all to respond.
For all day schemes the charges are £60 per year for the first Residents' Permit, £15 for a Visitor Permit and £400 for business permits. Residents Permits for a short duration scheme are £40.
