Julia Quilliam, Brentford's local hero

Still much to be done to improve Brentford

We had several nominations for a bottle of fizz, all of whom deserve one. Eva Cowen, Andrew Dakers, Torron Dewar, Jan Jones and Linda Massey all got several votes but the runaway winner was Julia Quilliam with 40.

Julia Quilliam

Catching up with Julia, to give her a lovely bottle of bubbly Julia said: “I am absolutely delighted to receive this honour and will certainly enjoy drinking the champagne.  Thank you to BrentfordTW8.com and to everyone who voted for me.  I would also like to thank everyone who has helped with the projects we have undertaken over the past few years.  There is still much to be done and hope to continue to do whatever is necessary to make Brentford a better place to live.”

Several people commented on the poll, referring to Julia's infectious enthusiasm, her devotion to Brentford community and her commitment to making Brentford brilliant. Julia's taken part in many events over the years, leading the way on Brentford's Christmas Lights, fundraising events and St George's Day celebration. and we all hope that she and her team at Quilliam continue to do so.
