Steve Bolton to leave on Monday
After a failed second set of negotiations over tenancy Steve Bolton is to leave the Magpie after 14 years and several thousand real ales.
An interim management team will be put in place on Monday with a permanent landlord to be found.
Wellington Pub Company assured Councillor Andrew Dakers that the Magpie & Crown will stay open and still serving real ale. As a regular he promises to keep a close eye on the situation.
Members of BrentfordTW8 are invited to a forum get together at the Magpie on Monday 11th to put names to faces and to engage in discussion that may stray from the usual topics.
Regulars and occasional visitors will no doubt also be visiting the Magpie on Saturday and Sunday to say goodbye and thank you to Steve for the contribution he has made to the happiness of Brentford's real ale drinkers.
