A New Bridge for Brentford?

To cross Grand Union Canal and River Brent

Brentford Lock West have submitted a separate planning application for the pedestrian and cycle bridge that will cross from phase III to Robin Grove Recreation Ground to allow greater accessibility to Brentford station and beyond.

The bridge will be positioned just south of the warehouses / public square that is part of the final phase of Brentford Lock West on the west side.

The landscaping for Robin Grove Recreation Ground is still subject to consultation but the illustrative drawing below shows the bridge landing, existing and proposed planting and the relocation of the existing play equipment (8).

The bridge will have low output lighting within handrails to facilitate use after dusk and the floor of the bridge will have a red finish.
