A redevelopment of the West Cross Industrial Estate on the A4 in Brentford could see car company Renault having a headquarters building at the site.
Legal and General, which owns the land plans to repurpose the western building as a car showroom and West Cross House and the vacant gym as an industrial and office block with 95,000 sq ft of space.
The existing Grade II listed steps which used to lead up to the iconic Firestone Building, which previously occupied the site, will be retained.
The Firestone Building
There is no residential component to the proposal.
The eastern building which Curry’s/PC World is currently located at is not part of the proposal. It is understood that its lease runs until 2027 at which point development of that building will be considered.
The site is located adjacent to the Great West Road and is bounded to the south by West Cross Way and to the north by Amalgamated Drive. Shield Drive circles the perimeter of the site.

Legal and General claim that the presence of Renault and the new industrial building on the site will not generate more traffic than there is currently and movements will primarily be outside peak periods.
A digital public information event is being held on Thursday 11 November.
