Selfish Driver Refuses to Move for Ambulance

Police appeal for witnesses on Chestnut Avenue

Metropolitan Police

Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident where a van driver refused to get out of the way of an ambulance with an emergency.

Last Thursday (13th July) around 5pm on Chestnut Avenue in Brentford, just north of the A4, an ambulance with blue lights flashing was carrying a patient who just suffered a heart attack.

The ambulance was on its way to hospital to treat this patient when an inconsiderate driver of a white Ford Transit van obstructed the ambulance. This driver refused to allow the ambulance to pass, causing delays with treatment of the patient.

The driver of the van then abused the Paramedics and drove on the pavement whilst members of the public were on it.

If you witnessed this incident please come forward to help identify this dangerous driver.
