St Faith's Players Needs a New Musical Director

"It would also make a lot of people very happy"

This renowned amateur dramatic group has been performing at St.Faith's Church Hall in Brentford for more than 30 years.  The group is particularly famous for its Christmas shows, pantomimes and similar musical productions, typically featuring songs and dances by a large cast of adults and local children.  These shows are usually a sell-out.

The group is looking for someone with the necessary time, talent and interest to play the keyboard for their Christmas 2011 production, and to help generally with the show's musical direction.  This year's production is to be "Calamity Jane".

The group owns a quality electronic keyboard, and a quality sound system to back it up.  We are hoping to find a person who is experienced in providing musical leadership for live shows, and can both play the score and improvise a little when needed.

Rehearsals start in September and will take place at the Hall on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons.  Not all of them will need live music.  The actual performances, five of them altogether, are scheduled for the first week in December.

This is not a paid job, but it is an enjoyable one, and would provide the right person with exposure in a prestigious public context.  It would also make a lot of people very happy.
