The African Children’s Choir were handpicked, alongside other international artists to record the charity single ‘Sing’ written by Gary Barlow and Andrew Lloyd Webber for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Members from the African Children’s Choir performed the song at the Diamond Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace on June 4.

The First African Children’s Choir was formed in 1984 in the midst of civil war, their aim is to raise global awareness of the plight of millions of orphaned and abandoned children in Africa. The single has become this year’s biggest selling number 1 single, with over 142,000 in the first week!

Young Voices are delighted to welcome the very talented Connie Talbot back onto the tour again this year, as at 11 years old she represents the very essence of Young Voices. Earlier this year to help Young Voices celebrate their 15th anniversary, Connie & Young Voices together created a new Guinness World Record for the largest number of backing singers ever to accompany one lead vocalist at a public venue. “I’m very happy and feel honoured to be invited to these concerts and I’m really looking forward to getting back up on the stage & singing with all the children again” – Connie Talbot
