Syon Estate residents celebrate success of clear-up

Donations and volunteers sought for further campaigns

The Syon voluntary community group on the Syon Estate are holding another clean up day on Saturday 25th September. A previous clean-up day has been hailed as 'a huge success' with positive results. One local resident told brentfordTW8.com that "we have noticed a change in attitudes of some local children who previously were causing difficulties in the area".

Anybody interested in helping should meet at the Rose Community Centre, Hawthorn Road at 12pm. Local businesses are once again supporting the Syon Community Group , including the Snakes and Ladders centre at Syon House and Brentford Fountain leisure centre, but help is still being sought for more help with goody bags for helpers and more volunteers.

The group were formed earlier this year to counteract the anti social behaviour that resulted in vandalism and graffiti on the Syon Estate.
