Wall at Syon Park collapses to reveal the Waldorf Astoria

Last Thursday saw the unfortunate but spectacular collapse of a wide section of the wall between Syon Park Estate and the London Road.

Police and contractors inspect the wall shortly after its collapse

A contractor’s vehicle struck the wall which then fell out on the pavement along London Road.

A spokesman from Syon Park said: "Firstly the Estate would like to say how say glad we are that no one was hurt. 

"Our structural engineer has inspected the wall and it has been made safe.  The wall which we believe is around 200 years old, will be rebuilt using traditional methods".
