PLAY WORKER                 6 HOURS PER WEEK                        £9.95ph

Brentford Toy Library is a registered children’s charity offering play opportunities to children under 5 offering 4 free stay and play sessions per week. It also offers free activities andorganise community events, a children’s pop up charity shop and facilitate a toy borrowing service.

Brentford Toy Library are looking for a play worker to join the team for 6 hours a week on a sessional basis. The play worker will be involved in helping to run play sessions and also to help operate the pop-up charity shop in Brentford High Street.

Required for Fridays from 10am – 4pm however some flexibility is required.

Temporary until December 2012 with the view to extend

All candidates will be required to have a CRB police check and complete child protection training. BrentfordToy Library is dedicated to safeguarding children. Candidates will beencouraged to complete a paediatric first aid course and a level 2 food hygienecertificate.

Applications are welcomed from those with a play worker or childcare related qualification. Experience of working with children and members of the public is essential. Good literacy and numeracy skills are also required. Brentford Toy Library is dedicated to promoting Equal Opportunities.
