H28 rerouted as well
We have been advised that urgent repairs are required to a private sewer near 125 Thornbury Road, just south of its junction with Thornbury Avenue, and less than 70m from the junction with the A4 Great West Road. Due to the location of the sewer two-way traffic flow cannot be maintained and it will be necessary to close Thornbury Road for northbound traffic between Church Road and the A4. Traffic heading southbound in Thornbury Road or turning from the A4 will not be affected.
A temporary diversion will be signed via Church Road, Osterley Road, to A4; this is also the route that the northbound H28 bus will follow.
Additional parking restrictions will be placed in the vicinity of the works and at the junction of Thornbury Road and Church Road to assist with traffic flows.
The work will start at 9:30am on Monday 23 November. It is anticipated that the works will take no more than five days to complete.
