Southbound traffic diversion North of the A4
This weekend, 13/14 February, it will be necessary to close part of Wood Lane (north of the A4) to southbound traffic. The closure is to enable National Grid to make urgent repairs to a gas main which is in the southbound carriageway.
The closure will be between the access into the Osterley Hotel and the A4 and therefore any traffic wishing to access the A4 will be diverted onto Thornbury Road and Syon Lane. London Buses are aware of the closure and the H28, that would otherwise travel southbound on Wood Lane, will divert onto the A4 at Thornbury Road and then turn right into Wood Lane south of the A4 to resume its usual route.
Advance warning signs have been erected in Wood Lane. It is anticipated that the works will be completed over the weekend with the road being fully opened by Monday morning.
