Disruption On A4 Junction With Boston Manor Road

Two weeks southbound diversion from March 1st

Thames Water needs to carry out urgent works to a collapsed sewer in Boston Manor Road at its junction with the A4.

The collapsed sewer is in the southbound lane of Boston Manor Road, on the southern side of the A4, right at the mouth of the junction. It is therefore necessary to divert all southbound traffic to turn left onto the A4, make a u-turn via the ‘jug-handle’, to then use the left slip to turn left into Boston Manor Road south of the A4.

Northbound traffic will not be affected.

Transport for London will monitor the junctions and if necessary adjust the traffic signal timings where they can, but delays are to be expected, particularly in Boston Manor Road heading south towards the A4.

The closure will be put in place at 9.30am on Monday 1 March. It is anticipated that the works will take two weeks to complete. If work is completed earlier then the road will be opened earlier. Advance warning signs have been erected to advise drivers of the closure and the expect duration.

Should there be any problems with the works then Thames Water’s contractor is Cappagh and their contact number is 020 8947 4000.
