Help raise awareness of local police matters
Councillors and residents meet local police quarterly to discuss local concerns and to set priorities for the local police team.
This is an opportunity to bring up issues and find out what police are doing about problems in your street.
Ward panels are closed meetings as members do have to be vetted but new participants are welcome.
Issues discussed at the last meeting include:
Brentford Post Office is open from 12:00 until
13:00 every Thursday for members of the public to speak to Police. Cornish
House, Brentford is under review due to extremely low numbers attending.
Many thefts from motor vehicles are opportunistic as the offender sees a phone or coat in a vehicle and break in to steal the contents. Residents using street parking to access Gunnersbury Park in particular are warned to not leave visible items in their car. CCTV is checked.
A number of locations for regular drug dealing or using were discussed. Local intelligence from residents does help police locate and target these areas.
Smartwater is currently being promoted as an invisible marker of property to help police identify stolen property.
