Pulsating Entertainment Adds Shine to Hounslow

At Christmas Lights Switch On

Fun and excitement were two rare and unlikely things Hounslow High Street provided for its visitors on Friday 28th October 2011. Over 1,000 people gathered outside the Treaty Centre, where an afternoon and evening of lights and musical entertainment lit up the crowd in celebration of Diwali and rapidly approaching Christmas.

The free entertainment began at 4pm when DJ Ritu introduced The Bollywood Brass Band which engaged the audience with its charming instrumental music of well-known Bollywood songs. Everyone, with many different backgrounds enjoyed the diverse entertainment, contently clapping to the beat of catchy instrumentals.

Stars of the show were FlameOz. The crowd filled with applause, gasps of excited whispers and cheers of enthusiasm at the impressive and outstanding FlameOz. Their masterpiece performance with flaming torches gave the audience a wonderful surprise.

This event is the first of several designed to make Hounslow High Street more enjoyable and entertaining and attract more people and help local businesses.

Finally, at 6pm, the Christmas lights were turned on by The Worshipful Mayor of the London Borough of Hounslow Councillor, Amrit Mann.

The evening ended with an outdoor  screening of the famous Bollywood film Devdas.

The event was organised by Watermans, funded by The Outer London Fund set up by the Mayor of London and was part of an initiative by the London Borough of Hounslow.
