The North Circular Road (A406) was closed in the early hours of Thursday morning (3 February) after a car overturned.
The road was closed from Tudor Way to Kingsbridge Avenue shortly after 12.30am after the vehicle appears to have crashed into the central reservation close to the St Columba’s Tennis Club in Acton.
The driver was trapped in the car and had to be freed by firefighters but was not seriously injured and nobody else was hurt in the collision.
The police say they believe the driver failed to see the keep left arrow on the central island.
They arrested the driver on suspicion of drink driving.
Fire fighters got the driver out without serious injury. Picture: Roads&Transport MPS
The road has since reopened.
