A Northolt community organisation has secured new National Lottery funding to help residents struggling with rising living costs. Nexus Community UK (NCUK) has been awarded £15,000 from The National Lottery Community Fund to deliver a Financial Resilience Programme aimed at supporting people before financial pressures escalate into crisis.
The new programme will offer practical guidance, early-intervention support and tailored outreach to individuals and families across Northolt and neighbouring areas. NCUK says the funding will allow it to expand its work with local partners, including housing providers, faith groups and community organisations, to reach residents who may not yet be accessing formal support.
Judith Matty, Strategic Lead at Nexus Community UK, said the grant will strengthen the organisation’s ability to respond to growing need.
“We are delighted to receive support from The National Lottery Community Fund,” she said. “This funding will help us reach more residents facing financial pressures and strengthen the support available within our communities. Our focus is on early intervention—helping people access support at the right time, improve their financial wellbeing and build resilience for the future.”
Registrations for the Financial Resilience Programme are now open, with referrals welcomed from community groups, housing associations, faith organisations and other local partners. The programme is designed to help residents navigate financial challenges, understand available support, and build long-term stability.
Nexus Community UK, based in Northolt, works to improve financial resilience, wellbeing and community inclusion through outreach and partnership-led support.
