Huge Fire Takes Hold at House in Greenford

A house in Greenford badly damaged by a fire which took hold in the early hours of Thursday morning (6 April).

40 firefighters and six fire engines attended the scene on Millet Road after the first of 12 calls was received at 5.29am. Crews from Southall, Northolt, Ealing, Hillingdon and Feltham fire stations attended.

There were no reports of anyone being injured in the fire which took hold in an end of terrace two storey property and spread to the outbuilding of the house next door and a garage.

Ferrymead Gardens had to be closed during the incident.

It took the Fire Brigade just over an hour to get the fire under control.

 

The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
