Silver Screenings Launched at the Ealing Project

Ealing’s new cinema has launched weekly screenings for older residents on Wednesdays.
In a partnership with Age UK, tickets will be available for £5.50 to the over 60s which will include a free hot drink and biscuits.
The aim is to provide a warm and welcoming space and Age UK Ealing, who are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, will be supporting the partnership by inviting their ‘Befriending’ clients to attend the screenings at 11am.
The sessions began with a showing of Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans’ and The Ealing Project says it intends to offer an exciting and affordable big screen experience throughout the series.
Ealing Project’s general manager, Andrew Carruthers, said, ‘We are very excited to be launching the Silver Screening series at Ealing Project. We know older audiences have had a particularly hard time over recent years, unable to socialise with friends and family, and being impacted by the cost of living crisis. The Silver Screening series allows them to have a regular space to meet with friends, as well as experience everything our cinema has to offer. We are delighted to be partnering with Age UK Ealing on such an important initiative for the older generation in the borough.’’

We are often looking for new and innovative ways for our clients to get together in a social environment, and this initiative provides a space for older people in the community to come together and enjoy a range of fantastic films on a weekly basis.’
