A new Asian grocery store is set to open in Dickens Yard.

The Ealing shop will be Tian Tian Market’s eighth opening in London over the past two years and the first in west London. It’s flag-ship store is in Canary Wharf.

A soft launch is planned early in June with a grand opening on Saturday 24 June from 11am. Entertainment at the launch will include live food demonstrations from Japanese street food and Hong Kong-style milk tea, a Japanese Taiko drum performance, and a photo booth.

The stores feature a Japanese minimalist design and are aimed at enthusiast of cuisines from across Asia. They stock fresh produce, snacks and baked goods with over 5,000 items on offer and aim to be an immersive cultural experience as well as a place to buy food.

There will be specialised Hotpot, World Noodles, and Dimsum sections as well as premium soju and sake.

The company, which started in 2016, says its research indicated growing demand for authentic Asian food products and it was attracted to Ealing because of its vibrancy and excellent transport links.

Emma Tai, General Manager of Tian Tian Market said, “Our store in Ealing goes beyond being just a grocery store, it is a curated destination that brings together the best of Asian flavours and culture. Through our participation in local events and initiatives during the grand opening, we aim to foster connections and create a welcoming environment for all. Tian Tian Market invites customers to embark on a culinary journey, exploring the rich tapestry of Asian flavours, being a place to discover, connect, and celebrate the vibrant world of Asian cuisine.”

It remains to be seen whether the store can provide an additional boost to the retail offering at Dickens Yard with many new openings having struggled to survive in recent years and existing traders complaining about low footfall.
