And Celebrates 60 years of Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club
( Ealing: Liz Jenner)
The Ealing Jazz Festival on Sunday ( 28/07) brought the Ealing Summer Festivals to a close for another year.
There have been carnivals, beer (lots), comedy and two weekends of the most marvellous music in Walpole Park.
Both the Blues and Jazz had some totally outstanding acts and not just on the main stage, there have been great performances on the South Stage as well as the more intimate (ie small!) bar stage too.
The crowds were appreciative, weather not too bad and overall the atmosphere throughout was well chilled.
A few more food stalls wouldn't go amiss next year - I specifically heard requests for more vegan choice, the toilets were, well, usual festival toilets I guess, but other than that no real complaints.
I've discovered new bands which I will definitely see again and loved bumping into friends and neighbours on my home turf, and being able to walk home!
Thanks Ealing! It's been a blast!
Thanks too to Liz Jenner for capturing the Ealing Jazz Festival vibe.
