Health campaigners from Ealing Save Our NHS will be joined by community groups and local politicians this Saturday (26 February) for a protest rally outside Ealing Hospital.

It’s part of a national Day of Action called by SOS NHS, with over 80 events across the country.

Eve Turner, from campaign group Ealing Save Our NHS said, “Our NHS is in acute crisis with staff underpaid and exhausted - but still the Government has no plan to fill the 100,000 vacancies. Their only plan for the 6 million people on waiting lists is for more NHS money to go to the private hospital sector. Many GP surgeries are struggling to see patients and lack of beds is pushing up ambulance and A&E wait times. That’s why we’re supporting the call for emergency funding for the NHS now.”

Speakers at the rally, which commences at noon will include Dr Sonia Adesara, from Keep Our NHS Public, GLA member Dr Onkar Sahota, Southall MP Virendra Sharma and other members of the community.

This site remains committed to providing local community news and public interest journalism.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
