Free Training Event in Ealing

BTECS and traineeships available for 16-24 year olds

An Ealing training provider is holding an open event to give young people struggling to find work or achieve qualifications the chance to find a free course to kickstart their careers.

Skills Training UK’s Ealing Centre is opening its doors to prospective learners to showcase its free vocational BTEC courses and Traineeships on Wednesday 23 October, from 3pm to 5pm. The open event is free to attend for 16-24 year olds and their parents/carers.

Tutors will give tours of the Centre and discuss the programmes run by the training provider, which is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and won Training Provider of the Year at the 2019 Times Educational Supplement (Tes) FE Awards.

Current students will also be on hand to give first-hand accounts of life at the Ealing Centre in Uxbridge Road.

Cynthia Martins, Skills Training UK’s Ealing Centre Manager, who will be welcoming guests on the day, said: “As we approach October half term, some young people may be realising that traditional college or sixth form isn’t right for them. This can be for many reasons, such as struggling with their chosen course or adapting to a bigger classroom setting.

“At Skills Training UK, we offer an exciting local alternative for 16-24 year olds, including small class environments and the option to enrol all year round. We look forward to meeting local young people who want to try something new, gain employability skills, improve their confidence, and achieve practical qualifications to help kickstart their careers.”

Skills Training UK’s Ealing Centre provides vocational BTEC, English and maths courses for 16-18s and employability-focused Traineeship programmes for 16-24s.
