A montage of the work of the Ealing Art Group
April 23, 2026
One of the country’s oldest amateur art societies will unveil its latest work in Ealing this month, as Ealing Art Group’s Spring Exhibition opens at OPEN Ealing Arts Centre on Monday 25 May. The week-long show will feature new pieces by 21 local artists, working across watercolours, acrylics, oils, felt art and printmaking, in a bright and welcoming venue at the heart of Ealing Broadway.
The exhibition runs daily from 11am to 5pm until Sunday 31 May, with free entry for visitors. It offers a chance to see a wide range of styles and subjects from artists who live and work in the borough, including the works Rust and Rasmala, which appear on this year’s promotional poster.
Ealing Art Group has a remarkable history. Its very first meeting took place on 15 November 1910, making it one of the oldest amateur art groups in England. Apart from the war years of 1939–40 and the 2020 Covid lockdown, the group has held an annual exhibition every single year since its founding. Over the decades, its shows have appeared in venues across the borough, from churches and the Town Hall to Pitzhanger Manor Gallery and, more recently, Gunnersbury Park Museum.
Today the group remains lively and active, with a mission to encourage art in all its forms—whether through practising, learning or simply enjoying it. The Spring Exhibition continues that tradition, offering residents a chance to explore local creativity and meet the artists behind the work.
The exhibition takes place at OPEN Ealing Arts Centre, Unit 14, School Lane, Dickens Yard, W5 2TD
