This year’s programme brings together an exceptional line-up of internationally acclaimed authors, leading thinkers, cultural commentators and rising literary stars, spread across venues including the University of West London, Questors Theatre, and Pitzhanger Manor. The festival continues to grow in scale and reputation, building on the success of previous years and deepening its commitment to showcasing both global voices and local talent.

The 2026 festival opens with an already sold-out appearance by Jung Chang, offering a rare chance to hear the globally renowned author discuss Fly, Wild Swans, her much-anticipated follow-up to Wild Swans. Non-fiction heavyweights such as Dan Cruickshank, Andrew Graham-Dixon, Simon Jenkins, and Alan Johnson will bring fresh perspectives on politics, history, art and architecture. Music journalist and broadcaster John Robb returns with his acclaimed work on Oasis, while rising literary voices Oyinkan Braithwaite and Lucy Steeds add contemporary energy to the programme.

The festival also features a Local Authors’ Showcase, a strengthened schools programme, and a series of guided literary walks exploring Ealing’s cultural landscape. Family events include appearances by Stephen Mangan and Anita Mangan, whose lively sessions promise to be a hit with younger readers.

Now firmly established in the literary calendar, the Ealing Book Festival continues to expand its reach and ambition.
